Streak Ends!

This week was a fun week of football. First and foremost the Patriots end there streak 21 game regular season win streak went down the drain after the Dolphins',Ronnie Brown, ran all over them in that crazy set. It was almost like a high school formation but hey whatever works.
Another Streak that was ended this weekend was Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor's streak of playing in 133 straight games. He has not missed a game since 1999 and will miss his first game this Sunday verse Dallas. Taylor was kicked in the shin in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. A Redskins source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that Taylor's shin "blew up like a balloon." Taylor was in excruciating pain Monday morning and doctors became concerned he could suffer nerve damage.
Taylor checked into a hospital and underwent a 20-minute procedure. The operation drained a pool of blood that had accumulated in the calf. Coach Jim Zorn said that "he will be ok though".

Brain Westbrook limped around without crutches Monday. The All-Pro running back is day to day with a strained ankle, encouraging news for a Philadelphia Eagles team that can't afford to lose its top offensive player. He probably still will play on Sunday.

And sspeaking of the Eagles and they're defensive stance on the Steelers this past weekend. Poor Ben Rethlisberger getting sacked a total of 8 times and then the 9th happening to Brian Leftwich if I'm not mistaking. He hurt his hand and shoulder and was taken out of the game but he is expected to play this Monday vs. the Ravens.
Well that's all for this week hopefully i will hear from everyone again this week.

Yea man football has been crazy lately! For some reason though the most interesting thing in your blog this week had to be the medical procedure performed on Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor. It took them only 20 minutes to insert a needle into his leg and, as you put it “drain out a pool of blood;” very graphic. I feel like I’m learning a lot about football from your blog. A few more weeks and I’ll have enough injury info to be an ESPN analyst.
